Our first stop on the Vinylmation Trail is the Grand Floridian and Polynesian resort. While both places are Disney resorts, they had totally different selections.
The Polynesian had a decent size selection of Vinylmations in the gift shop on the 2nd floor. they had Park 7, Urban 8, Pirates of the Caribbean and a few Park 6 Vinyls. They also had the usual stock of Occupations, and WDW 40th Anniversary Vinyls. Along with Vinylmations, they did have a trading box for trading, but it needed to be refreshed in the worst kind of way.
Next we traveled along the highway in the sky to the Grand Floridian. Again, the Vinylmations were located in the gift shop on the 2nd floor. They had a slightly different selection, in that they had the Alice In Wonderland series.
Finally, we went to Coronado Springs Resort. Actually we didn’t go to look for Vinylmations, we went to the Pepper Market, the best Counter Service deal on property if you are on the Disney Dining Plan. While we were there we decided to check out the Vinyls. They were located all the way in the back of the store on the right. A decent selection, but not nearly as many as the Polynesian had. Also, just in case you wanted to know, they did have a trade box behind the counter in the back. Again, same old stuff.
Our final review of these three resorts, is that Park 7 and Urban 8 are everywhere and the trading boxes need to be refreshed. Also, to be honest the CMs working the trading boxes are usually very helpful in stores like these. They never seem to be that busy and always willing to help out if you are trying to complete a series.
