Vinylmation News for 8.11.11 – Disney Afternoon Bonkers Set, Black and White Set

We have an important update regarding the release of the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea set and the 9-inch figure featuring China Pavilion. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the release of these items have been delayed until August 19, not August 12 as originally planned. We apologize for the inconvenice this may cause.

Great news, Muppets fans! We have acquired additional 9-inch figures featuring Kermit the Frog from Muppets #2 for the online store. This figure was originally released at the D-Street locations and via our online store on August 5. Due to popular demand, we are making additional quantities available online starting on August 19. This just happens to be the same day that the 9-inch plus 3-inch set featuring Gonzo and Camilla the Chicken will also be released.

We are also happy to announce the next set in The Disney Afternoon series featuring “Bonkers” will be released on September 2. The set has an edition size of 1,000 and a retail of $26.95. Chris Chapman, Artist and Global Creativity & Innovation Director, once again created the artwork for this set. There will be a purchase limit two (2) sets per Guest, per day.

For fans in California, D-Street will open at 8 a.m. on September 2 and wristbands will be distributed at the location one hour prior to shop opening.

Chris Chapman will also be at the D-Street location in California on September 2 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. He will be meeting with fans and autographing figures (note – there will be a limit of two (2) items signed per Guest, and we ask that you bring no personal items to be signed.).

In other news, tomorrow will see the release of one of our favorite sets by Sarah Matthews. It’s a six-figure set in black and white. The packaging, the figures, the design … we love, love, love! The set will have an edition size of 2,000 and a retail of $99.95. It will be released at the D-Street locations in California and Florida as well as the online store.
